October 17th, 2008 webmaster
  • I AM LOOKING FOR THE BYLAWS FOR THE ORANGE COUNTY MODEL AIRPLANR CLUB AND/OR FOR THE EL TORO MARINE STATION. WHERE CAN I FIND THEM?

  • Hi Stashia, The "Orange County Modelers Association" is the current name of the RC (model airplane) club that flies from the former El Toro Marine base. Its Constitution and bylaws are available online here: http://www.flyocma.com/files/Bylawschangesjuly2003final.pdf If you'd like more information, or to contact the club, its main website is here: http://www.flyocma.com/ There is also a bit of information on the politics and formation of this association, here: http://www.themodelaircraft.com/info.html As explained, "The Model Aircraft Association" was the former El Toro club, and joined with 14 other clubs to create the OCMA chapter of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA). The main AMA website is located here: http://www.themodelaircraft.com/info.html They also have a search page where you can find the complete list of chartered clubs, here: http://modelaircraft.org/templates/ama/clubsearch.aspx If this is not the information you were looking for, or if anything isn't clear, please do use the "Request Clarification" feature before rating and/or closing your question so I can be sure you have what you need. Best wishes, and thank you for the opportunity to help you with this interesting topic. Byrd Search terms used: "orange county" RC club bylaws airplane OR flying OR flyers academy model aeronautics
